My name is Ms. Grace Cheung. I am super excited to be teaching Grade 3 this year. It is my first year at Guy Weadick school. I have taught different grades, including special education, and love being a teacher. I was born and raised in Calgary. I grew up with my two sisters, my mom, and my dad.  My favorite things to do would include playing with my puppy, Simba, hiking, running, going to the mountains, travelling, and going rock climbing. I love having fun so I really enjoy making fun, engaging and meaningful tasks to help my students learn. I am excited to have a great year with all my wonderful and fantastic students!

  • I was born here in Calgary and studied many different things before I decided to become a teacher.

  • I have also lived in Australia and Ireland and taught for a while in Thailand.

  •  I have studied broadcasting and communications, of which I enjoy camera work, script writing and editing; I also took developmental studies and am passionate about education on global citizenship which is focused on sustainable development and human rights education; finally I studied Education, with my specialization in elementary Language Arts.

  • It is because I love learning that I chose to be a teacher, so I can be in school for EVER plus kids make me smile. I also believe humour and laughing are very important and I love to be silly.

  •  On my days off I like to play in the sunshine, whether it be swimming in a lake or snowboarding in the mountains. I also love trying new foods and travelling and learning about new cultures: I have been to 25 countries and want to continue to explore my whole life!!
